The rates offered by GMR in the management of academic years in Ireland, can be said to be among the most competitive in this market, thanks to our knowledge and close relationship with both tutors or coordinators, as with the schools themselves.

We offer the possibility to do from one to three trimesters in a school in Ireland, both in boarding school and in host families, and you can choose between private and public or private schools for the academic year.

Extra fees for the Transition Year: All schools charge an extra fee that varies between ? 200 and ? 600 depending on the school for all students who are going to take the Transition Year. This supplement is requested by schools to pay for some of the extra activities and excursions that take place in this course, or for the management of professional practices. The final price will be made known to the parents as soon as the program begins and the original invoice is shown for total transparency and thus avoid increases or fixed rates, since it varies from one row to another.

Deposit:A deposit of ? 1,500 for the full year and ? 1,000 for the quarter to be used to pay for books, uniforms, extra activities, etc. must be added to the expenses. The customer area shows in great detail the evolution of the expenses that have been generated in the deposit, with all the tickets scanned in that area, and can be seen from mid-October already quite updated and up to date. At the end of the program, the remaining money will be returned to the parents.

The out-of-pocket expenses of students can be found in our detailed area of ??clients of the school year, where all the scanned documents of all the purchase tickets and a list of the expenses made will be available. . In the case of students housed in host families, they have a sheet where students sign all the money they are given.

What DOES NOT include school year fees?

1 - Transition Year Supplements

Supplement between ? 100 and ? 600 in the transition year, depending on the school. In addition, this course usually takes a trip abroad, which usually costs between ? 600 and ? 1,000 (usually voluntary).

2 - Pocket money for the student

The assigned tutors or coordinators can take charge of keeping the student’s pocket money during the school year, and administer it monthly. If the parents do not want to hire this service, they should inform GMR of how they are going to administer the money to their children, and how they are going to send it to them.

GMR recommends:

  • Internal students:? 100 per month
  • Non-internal students:? 140 per month

3 - The "voluntary" rates of charter schools

The subsidized schools in Irelandin our database have been classified as "public" and their prices have been kept as such, until 2014 we decided to distinguish them as concerted in our classification ( a signal will appear that identifies them, although they will appear in public searches). This has been due to the surprise increases that some charter schools have made in their "voluntary rates" since 2012, and which were not sustainable to maintain as public in terms of prices, given our more than reasonable rates. p>

Since 2013, the prices of charter schoolsremain as public, and given the volatility of these fees for charter schools, will be charged separately, which always up to date has oscillated between 300 and 1,200 euros per year as cap. The invoice of the same will be shown in a completely transparent and original document to each client. This price of the agreed prices is not known at the time of sale normally, and therefore we offer these schools at public price + the "voluntary rate" under acceptance of this rate by the client. We believe that it is more reasonable to do it in this way than to raise the price of the same 2,000 euros to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings, as would surely other agencies, or simply sell them as private, which is actually their origin.

4 - The fees for extra services imposed by some schools

Some private schools in Irelandimpose their own "extra fees", which can not be denied by the client. These cases are usually scarce, but they can happen, we will only give an example:

Since 2012, the Rathdown School, boarding school for girls, requires foreign students to take extra English classesat their own school, at a cost of 1,000 euros / year. This rate was imposed on us as mandatory, and customers have accepted it in good taste so far, even though we were not previously notified of it (even with our excellent relationship and often deal with the school). Insist that these cases are rare, but is not included in the price in the case of a similar situation in a private school.

Keep in mind that this information is just a guide. If parents or guardians and us agree, this sum will appear in the budget, and will be paid two weeks before the start of the course.
